We're All Going Bananas!

I've been a busy girl this weekend. I couldn't stop sewing at all. Meals are such an inconvenience sometimes aren't they?

Lots of photos for you today so I won't ramble on too much. I'm sure you can work out what I've been making for yourself.

I do like this little house (found here) which is still awaiting some covered buttons. But goodness, talk about getting cross with it. It really drove me quite crazy at times. The girls left the room in the end!

And we need some furniture still, and perhaps Strawberry Shortcake too?
Now remember these gorgeous tea towels I received last week From Pomona?

Well look at them now...

Not complete without a spot of red gingham of course! Nothing is safe around here.

And finally I have my own recycled jeans bag too. I love the spotty lining. The jeans were bought from the Op Shop a few weeks ago for $3, they were half price too. And they were brand new!

I'm going to look very smart next Market Day. I can't wait.

I popped into the Op Shop again on Saturday and found a basket full of patterns. I found just what I had been wanting for only $1 each! So much cheaper than the fabric shop would have had it for and one of them was completely unused. I left that shop with a smile on my face, I can tell you.

So cute for my little girls! Comes in sizes 3-8 years as well.

I always buy a salad at the market on Saturdays. Isn't it pretty with the flowers for colour? The freshest capsicums as well for the big girls.

And I simply could not go past this brilliant buy at the supermarket. Two bags of bananas for only $1.49 each!! I made two banana cakes whilst cooking dinner last night, the little girls ate mashed bananas for breakfast, there will be banana milkshakes on the menu for pudding tonight as well I'm thinking. We are truly going bananas!

A very summery tasty treat for No. 1!! The other three can't eat strawberries unfortunately.
And who has been a busy boy? My goodness I hardly recognise the back yard! No more stray toys, no leaves, no shells, no bikes. Not messy at all for a change. Nothing worth cropping in this photo.

Looks like the big girls have been in the tidying up mood too. Look at our tidy house!

And the bakery too. Anyone for freshly baked bread?

And if you think all this work was done without giving up something else, you are so very wrong. See this breakfast bowl? I discovered it on the coffee table at 6pm! I just didn't notice it before then as I was so busy sewing (and the place was too messy!). I didn't even cook tea (pasta with a bit of sauce on top!) until 6.30! Just shocking I know. The whole house was an absolute tip, but who cares, we all had fun doing our own thing.

Right someone is hungry yet again! Must go and find more food for her. Maybe a banana?

Yes I feel very CK with my new tote bag! Not sure if she uses such fabric/tea towels, but it's as pretty as hers would be. I might just have to have a crate of them sent over!

So MANY cute things! And all that cooking and cleaning getting done too! (And you found the bowl soon enough, right?) :D

Oh yeah, I didn't need it until the next morning anyway did I?!! One shouldn't be too prepared in life, it's too boring.

The bag is definitely CK-alike - which is why I was drawn to the tea towel! It is really lovely - and the house is quite amazing! Princess B and I have had a slightly weird feeling looking at this post - I have just that kiddie pattern, and made her the trousers some years ago - and she has that Sylvanian bakery, too. What is going on here?!

Lovely things. I found a large piece of cereal wrapper on our table as I cleared off the remains of our Sunday evening meal yesterday. This must mean that it had survived the breakfast clear-up and the lunch clear-up, and was only finally removed three meals later... Hmm.

What a lovely post today. I'm loven' the new jean purse you have made. I have been thinking about making one for quite a while, now I have no excuse. It's tooo cute. The bee's knee t-shirt is too much fun.

Thanks for visiting my garden and commenting on my circus inspirated new blanket. I love meeting and making new friends in blogland.

Have a great week and I will continue to read and be inspired over here at Red Gingham. I mean who doesn't like red gingham...

Some lovely things Sarah. I love the fabric houses as well as the others. The jeans bag looks great and as for the teatowel CK'ish one - it is just perfect. I never seem to find any tea towels like that! Can't wait until I can start some sewing again as I have the nice pair of jeans I bought for myself that shrunk on the way home to make a bag from!

That house is just to cute it's at time's like these that I wish I had a girl lol :0) I saw one similar in a quilting shop over in brugge but inside it was kitted out like a sewing box complete with pin cushion and little pockets for tape measures threads and scissors.
