What Are You Reading?

Look at our bird feeder. It's the hollowed out apple hanging from the Cherry tree. My mother had one hanging from their tree yesterday and I thought what a lovely idea it was. It reminds me of Christmas decorations too. I just might have to add a few more for beauty. The tiny birds eat the inside of the apple, birds like the wax eyes and the fantails.

I have been tagged again! This time by Liz and it is quite good fun and a bit of a laugh at times. These are the rules:
Oh great, just remembered I can no longer cut and paste on my blog page. Goodness knows why, it's a recent problem. I can't move my photos around either. Talk about annoying!

Right, well, I shall just have to go backwards and forwards from Liz's blog. Here we go:
1. Collect the book you have most handy.
2. Turn to page 161.
3. Find the 5th complete sentence.
4. Cite the sentence on your blog.
5. Pass it on to 5 other blogger friends.

So the book I am sort of reading, when I get five minutes of uninterrupted piece, is the first of the Harry Potter series. Floss agreed with my girls, that the book is much better than the movie. So we shall see. I'm not that far into it. Like the lovingly made bookmark?

So lets see then, page 161, ah here we are. 5th sentence is 'I knew it! I knew it!' Wow, staggering stuff isn't it? Well, it is what it is I guess.

Now I guess I should hound five other lovely people to have a turn too.

Hope you are all enjoying a lovely weekend. I hope you haven't had to spend 3 looooonnnng boring hours waiting in a doctors waiting room, just for a script for antibiotics for your daughter!!! I know it could have been much worse, had I had all four of them with me. I should be grateful!

I should also take the time now, to thank Manka from Little Rose Cottage very much for my two latest awards from her. She is such a sweetie and I am so pleased to have met her (virtually) through blogland. Thank you so much Manka!

I love the bird feeder and is that your house? I watched Harry Potter The Half Blood Prince at the cinema last night by coincidence, I'm sure I should read the books too, as they are said to be better than the films. I hope your daughter gets better soon, love Salx

I knew it! I knew you'd like them!

They are extraordinarly easy to read for well-written books. Maybe that's because they are better written than most..? No, I just think JK Rowling has a particular talent for telling a clever story in clear language. Many of my pupils who can't handle other books for that age group have successfully read HP.

Anyway, a wait of 3 hours! Yikes! We get them in France, but I didn't know you got them in NZ too! I do hope your daughter gets well soon - we have a slightly poorly one, too.

You are such a good sport! Thanks for doing the tagging thing.

Hope your daughter gets better real soon, its horrid when the children are ill, I'd rather be ill myself.

Oh, and you will have so much fun working your way through the HP books!

Hello again - yes, a stitch holder seems likely! Thanks for the tip!

I know all about itchers, scratchers, biters and pickers. I don't know how many other mums of 10 year olds have to say:' Hey, take your toe out of your mouth!' quite regularly. Thankfully, that one doesn't get excema (nope, that spelling doesn't look any more convincing that your attempt, does it?), and his brother only gets it seasonally and it's just gone now that August is here.

So, have an itch-free week!
