Remember My Pincushion Swap?

Finally my recipient has received her gift and I can now safely reveal the contents of this wrapping.

Well here is the pincushion I made for Frieda.  The idea came when googling, as you do, and I came across this similar one from this lovely blog.  I thought how very suitable for a pincushion I was sending all the way over the seas to the U.S.A.

Now at the time I didn't know how to use the lettering on my fancy sewing machine, so I was kind of excited to finally be given the push I needed to work it out.  You wouldn't believe just how easy it is.  Just a few button pushes and out popped this lovely script writing.

Well I kind of got carried away and added a few more words on the back of the envelope.

With Love xxx

And since I enjoyed making it so very much, I thought I'd make one for dear Kate as well. She's done such a brilliant job of organising this huge swap that I thought she deserved a wee gift too.  You are a real super trooper Kate!

She has just received it and I suddenly wondered if she knew to unwrap the fabric and bow?!  Here is her pincushion, similar to the one above but personalised for Kate.

The writing is a little difficult to read unless you know what it says, but I'm sure these ladies know exactly what's written.

Now does anyone know what tomorrow is?  It's a special day for me.  Tune in tomorrow for the answer.

That is the most amazing idea for a pin-cushion. I had to click on the thumbnail before I realised that the parcel 'was' the pin-cushion!
