Handmade Christmas Challenge 1

I've been wanting to design and make something sweet and simple for a little while now.  I was hoping that this bunny might be something I could produce lots of to sell.  But I just don't think I'm cut out for mass production.

Greta doesn't think that she wants too many sisters either.  She likes special attention, and you just don't get that with having to share with lots of other little bunnies do you?

Poppy quite agrees.  Although having one special sister to play with is very lovely indeed.  And they are the best of friends too.

A big bonus is that they are the same size, so they can swap dresses if they want to.  And dressing up is something they both like to do.

They just can't believe that they used to be a pretty pile of fabric like this.  Gosh isn't life amazing?!

Well... maybe a few more friends might be fun.  We'll see.  Pop on over to KnickyKnacks for more Christmas Inspiration if you fancy.

Hi Sarah! What cute little bunnies, but I agree.. I don't favor the idea of mass production either! However, I DO love gingham, and crochet, and sewing. (Oh, and I would LOVE to see your tutorial on the crochet roll! I already make the pincushions and have lots of fun making those too!)... Anyway, I've enjoyed my visit here today, and am now a follower!.. Nice to meet you, and hope you're enjoying your weekend! ~tina

Hi Sarah
They're oh so cute indeed - love the facial expressions!
I totally know what you mean about mass production... a couple of years ago I went to lots of fairs and shows selling my crafts, but I really didn't like it - I guess some of us just aren't the "and once more with feeling!" type, are we? I much prefer to make whatever I fancy, when I fancy!
Looking forward to seeing more of your Christmas crafts!

oh these darlings are so cute. With you on the mass production thing too. However, have you thought about doing a paper pattern to sell? You can do a list of recommended fabrics that can be used, and just do the pattern?
I have been beading up bookmarks tonight, gosh, didn't realised I had made so many today. lol. Mass production is not me either, I like lots of variety and I also craft with the season. ie winter, knitting and crochet, summer, papercrafts, jewellery, cross stitching etc etc.

Greta and Poppy are just adorable, with their darling little dresses and embellishments! My neighbours have 2 little girls and something like this would be just PERFECT for a Christmas gift (I even have red gingham and red polka dot fabrics in my stash, lol) *putting on my thinking cap* :D
