Dear Friends...

As you may know, life for me has changed quite a bit lately with the girls now being home schooled.  Well, things just aren't the same any longer.  It's not longer 'Just About Me.com!'  So I've decided to say goodbye to my blog.  Yes I'm afraid it's time for a group hug my dears.

But first I must say a huge thank you to all of you, for your friendship and time you have taken to write all those treasured and very lovely comments on each of my posts.

Thank you very much for teaching me so much and for introducing me to the likes of old fashioned doilies!  Hubby doesn't thank you for that one sadly but No.4 does.

Thank you for getting me into quilting so I could make all my girls' quilts and pretty wall hangings.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make and give gifts for the Queensland flood victims.

Thank you for always having such nice things to say about what I had to show and tell about.  Thank you for all the wonderful swaps too!

Thank you for being there at all our birthdays and sending birthday wishes to us all.

Thank you for teaching me how to crochet and encouraging me when it all went badly.  I have since found out that crochet isn't my thing, but I do have a big crochet blanket to show for my efforts.

Thank you to all my friends who I have met on here (and sometimes for real) and have been such wonderful company.  May we still keep in touch.

Thank you for all the gifts you sent when I called out for help for the Christchurch Earthquake families.

Thank you for putting colour and homemade goodness into our home.

I've had such a lovely time getting to know you all and spending time with you.  I will still be popping by your blogs and perhaps writing the odd message - although I find I can't with many of your blogs since getting a laptop.  Must be the settings or something, but it's very frustrating.

Thank you for everything!!!!  I feel a bit sad about this but it must be done.  Who knows, I might be back one day.  Big hugs to you all.  xxx

Will miss reading your posts, but quite understand. Just don't delete your blog...you never know one day you might want to come back to it and also it is a good resource to look back on and all you achieved etc...

Was hoping to see you again in Feb/March, but it is looking like I may have to delay my trip due to surgery in January. Keeping options open at the moment...I am sure if necessary I can always book the trip at the last moment. Was going to say keeping an 'open mind' but that was too close for comfort.

Much love and hugs...will try to be a better friend and email more often.

Totally understand where you are coming from being a home schooling Mum myself... it does take a lot of time and commitment and can be a juggling act at times... I hope you still find time to do a bit of crafting for yourself though... it is important to find a little 'Me' time!
Maybe you could use your blog to record home schooling adventures! Whatever you do enjoy and have fun!

Wishing you the very best Sarah. It's amazing the connections we make via modern technology! It's sad to see you go but you know, you can always pop back when you feel like it and have the time. I take my hat off to you though on the homeschooling! I'm in love with the idea of homeschooling my kids. Take care.

Don't delete your blog - even if you only post occasionally its a lovely record to have.

Wishing you all the best with your home schooling - I know from friends who do it how much dedication is required :)

Sorry to hear that you need to step back - hope this new step is fruitful and all the best with what must be a rewarding but time consuming endeavour!

Oh Sarah, this makes sense but we will miss you! I have your wall hanging and your lovely cushion (whit doiley, of course) to remember you by, but I do hope we'll still keep in touch. Is there any chance that the commenting problem is caused by being on internet explorere rather than firefox? That causes me loads of problems when I borrow my son's computer.

Very best wishes with your lovely family,

Floss

I'm so excited for you (and sad a bit for me). We homeschool too, and it is a big responsibility and challenge, but the VERY best investment of my time right now!! I don't blog as much as I would like now either. Someday... I wish you all the best (and I still think of you every time I see Red Gingham LOL). Sending many blessings!!! And just in case you can't find me, here is my URL: ichnoart.blogspot.com

Thats very sad news indeed, Sarah, but of course family life has to come first. Sigh. You had better make sure you stay in touch by email, madam, or else! Oh, and don't delete your blog, you may just miss us so much that you want to share a little bit of your life with us after all.

Totally understandable. and yes don't delete your blog, we all like to come back and have a nosey. Enjoy your decision and relax, putting all your time into your kids. Youre a very brave woman, I could never home school. Good on ya!

So sad to hear, but I admire your decision and your heart for your kids. I have been tossing the idea of home schooling around quite a bit. My daughter is in 1st and my son will start kinder next year. It's overwhelming for me every time I think about it...I give you so much respect for taking on that challenge.

I will miss your seeing your beautiful quilting and being a part of your life.

Hope to see you back one day.

Enjoy the time with your girls
XO

Well I have tears in my eyes.. It has been great getting to know you. Im sure we will see each other and keep in touch over email. I totally understand why you are doing this. Homeschooling is a very selflish thing to do and it takes up alot of time but with my experience it builds up a wonderful bond with your children that you will be truly blessed by. Big hugs
